Instructions
  1. Wash, drain, and trim asparagus. Cut into 5 3/4" spears. Discard ends or save for another use (check out our recipe for cream of asparagus soup!)
  2. Pack asparagus into 5 1 quart jars to within 1/2" of top.
  3. Place 1 tbsp of dill seed and 1 tsp pickling spice in each jar.
  4. In Dutch oven, bring water, vinegar, sugar, and salt to a boil. Ladle boiling liquid over asparagus, leaving 1/2" headspace. Adjust caps.
  5. Process 20 minutes in a boiling water bath. Enjoy!
