Whichever seasonal fruit you would like to feature in this recipe is up to you - just make sure you have A LOT of it! The crust also doubles as the crumble topping, so this recipe is rather easy to make. Definitely a favorite down at the farm stand!

For the Crumble
  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Chop the butter into small pieces and add to dry mixture. Add the egg.
  3. With your hands, or with a mixer at medium-low speed, mix the ingredients until crumbly. The texture when done should resemble coarse cornmeal.
  4. Pat half of the crumble into the bottom of a greased 9x13" pan. Reserve the rest.
For the Filling
  1. Toss chopped fruit with lemon juice. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Pour dry mixture over fruit. Mix gently.
  4. Spread the fruit mixture over the crust. Sprinkle remaining crumble over top of the fruit mixture.
  1. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, or until top is slightly brown. Cool completely.
  2. Cover in aluminum foil and transfer to refrigerator before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy!
